Who is it for?

All Wandsworth residents aged 19+ who are struggling with English & Construction terminology but need the CSCS card to start working in the Construction sector.

Eligibility

  • Pass the English initial assessment at Entry Level 2 (minimum)
  • Be aged over 19
  • Must be fully registered with Work Match
  • Completed an action plan with a Work Match adviser

Description:

  • 3-Week course combining non-accredited ESOL + L1 Health & Safety + CSCS
  • Course designed specifically for those who would otherwise struggle to attain a CSCS card due to literacy issues

Course content includes:

  • Relating EXCLUSIVELY to Health & Safety in a construction setting, giving candidates insight into Health & Safety aspects of the construction and warehousing industries but will focus upon construction industry requirements – course content will be tailored to allow students to improve and add to vocabulary relating to the qualification.
  • Fully Accredited Level 1 Award in Health & Safety qualification L/616/0086 (training, provision of revision materials, exam booking facilitation, invigilation and certification)
  • CSCS 'Operative' test and Green Card
